Hollie White, MSW, LCSW

Therapist

Hollie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined Pathways part-time in 2021. She earned her Master’s Degree in social work from Loyola – University of Chicago. During her Master’s program, Hollie worked in two clinical settings – a domestic violence shelter and an in-home family therapy program. After completing her graduate degree and internships, Hollie worked in an outpatient community mental health clinic in Racine. Throughout her 10 years in the social services field, Hollie is well versed in complex trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, legal issues in criminal and family court, and attachment patterns that can hinder relationships.

Hollie has also worked in the mental health field in non-clinical settings. Hollie currently works as a Clinical Services Director in the Kenosha County community in addition to working at Pathways Consulting part time. In the past, Hollie also supervised a delinquency program and worked in supervised visitation. Hollie has a variety of training in cultural reverence, trauma informed care, issues facing those in the LGBTQ+ community, and the majority of therapeutic models to meet the needs of her clients.

As a therapist, Hollie would consider her theoretical orientation to be eclectic but most often utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, coping skills from dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, play therapy with children, and solution-focused therapy. Hollie most commonly works to help her clients perspective shift, improve their interpersonal skills, disrupt negative thinking patterns, and identify themes that appear in their life to better disrupt cognitive distortions. Hollie believes that the most important part of therapy is to have a strong therapeutic relationship. She works to put the client in the driver’s seat of their own life to improve their mood and overall functioning.
